TBRA Application guidelines packet
TBRA- Is first come first served assistance with deposits on a new residence and or assistance with utility deposits. Saline county residents (not Salina) and any of the counties that are listed in the application can apply. All of these documents need to be sent back to Flint Hills office.
Catholic Charities helps with clothing, food, diapers, toilet paper, laundry detergent, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, lotion, razors, soap, formula, prescriptions, bus vouchers, eviction notices, and shut-off or disconnect notices from utility companies.
Saline County applicants seeking these services will be encouraged to participate in a free financial literacy class offered by our Salina Staff.
Not all of the listed services are offered in exactly the same manner from each office or throughout our 31-county service area.
Catholic Charities may be able to help with up to $150 per year for rent and up to $100 per year for utilities - depending upon availability of funds. Catholic Charities created a program to help individuals trapped in high-interest payday and title loan debt by offering a way for individuals to pay off their predatory loans called the Kansas Loan Pool Project (KLPP).
Assisting Individuals With Disabilities
The REACH fund assists individuals with mental disabilities to fund special projects they cannot obtain from other sources. A committee decides monthly if applicants are approved.

Assistance is provided to families each year based upon an application basis. No applicant shall be guaranteed acceptance, and all gifts depend upon available funding at the time. Applications are usually made availabe starting the end of October, with the application process open for two to three weeks.
Housing assistance and employment support services are available on a limited basis to individuals transitioning out of the Saline County Jail No applicant shall be guaranteed acceptance. Contact our Salina office for more information.

Catholic Charities a partner agency for Women Helping Women - A Fairy Godmother Fund.
Women Helping Women is a way for women to support other women who are struggling and may be in crisis. Through an application process, women who need emergency assistance for things that are not readily available in the Salina community can receive help from the fund. Examples might be car repair, dental care, air conditioning or plumbing repair, short term assistance with child care or a host of other possible needs.
