Are you pregnant and concerned? Catholic Charities can help. We are a licensed child placing agency, providing services to birth parents and their families without charge, regardless of religious preference, age, race, or marital status.
You have options. There is often anxiety and uncertainty when you face an unplanned pregnancy or cannot provide care for your child. We can help you explore your thoughts and feelings while you consider your decision to parent or create an adoption plan. Because either choice has lifelong implications, we support your need to carefully consider each option.
We are advocates first and foremost for the child and birth parents. We believe that children are best served by preserving their connection to their family of origin. The best decision for you and your child comes from you. We will support you, whether you decide to parent or to place your child in a loving adoptive home.
You can choose the family for your child. If you decide to make an adoption plan you may choose a prospective adoptive family from profiles that have been prepared. These families have received adoption education and will provide a permanent and loving home for your child. We give both birth families and adoptive families equal respect and courtesy. Our agency encourages fully open adoptions, but will also work with birth parents who choose confidential placements. Any ongoing contact after placement will depend solely on you and the family you have selected.

The final decision is yours. Catholic Charities makes sure that there is never any pressure to make a decision. If you decide to place your child for adoption, we will help you carry out your plan.
Our Families The families in our online ParentFinder Community have been approved to adopt by Catholic Charities. They have also completed an adoption application and home study process which includes, but is not limited to education, interviews, references, state and federal background checks, financial information, and health screenings. Through the open adoption process at Catholic Charities, you will have the opportunity to meet the prospective adoptive family and together you will make decisions regarding your on-going involvement and communication. You are welcome and encouraged to contact Catholic Charities about any of the listed families. If you have any questions or concerns about the process, please contact the office nearest you for information on how to proceed.
